Justin W. Arivette, age 21, was sentenced today in Circuit Superior Court to ten (10) years of prison following his admission that he tried to bribe his 15 year old half-sister into having sex with him.  Arivette pled guilty to Attempted Incest, a Class B felony.  He will serve the first 6 years of his sentence in the Indiana Department of Correction with the remaining 4 years to be served on probation.  In addition Arivette agreed to waive his right to request a sentence modification at a later date.  

On November 22, 2009, former Princeton Police Officer Jennifer Loesch took a report from a woman stating she found naked pictures of her 15 year old daughter on her son Justin Arivette’s computer.  In subsequent interviews with Arivette conducted by Princeton Police Department Detective Mike Hurt, Arivette admitted to taking pictures of his half-sister without her knowledge or permission.  Officers then searched Arivette’s computer and found numerous pictures of Arivette’s underage half-sister and other disturbing images and recordings made by Arivette. 

Hurt re-interviewed Arivette, who admitted that in the summer of 2009 he took his half-sister to Pet Smart and offered to buy her a Chinchilla in return for having sex with him.  Arivette admitted that he bought the Chinchilla and then over the next couple of weeks kept asking his half-sister for sex in return for the purchase.   

In addition to the Attempted Incest charge, Arivette also pled guilty to Possession of Child Pornography and Voyeurism, both Class D felonies.
